COVID-19 Updates

Brown’s Automotive want to extend our deepest compassion for those affected by the COVID-19. We are following the COVID-19 spread closely and have taken precautionary measures at the dealership to help ensure that our visitors and employees are being protected from the spread of germs.

Current Services

Sales Department

Following New York State mandates, our  showroom is open to customers who make an appointment with their sales consultant. You can find your next New or Pre-Owned vehicle on our online showroom. All transactions will still take place remotely (online or over the phone). If you have any questions you can chat with us.

Service and Parts Departments

Are an essential business and will remain open. Our temporary Service and Part hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturday. We are open for any Warranty or Recall repairs to keep you going.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has approved to allow sales by licensed dealers through a remote and in person process. You must have an appointment to enter our showroom.

  1. Brown’s sales floor is only open for customers who made an appointment with their sales consultant. The sales floor is not open to the general public.
  2. We have social distancing requirements for all appointments for vehicle pickups and lease returns.
  3. Final signatures will take place in our designated clean room.
  4. The pick up of the vehicle will be on our dealership lot.
  5. All personal interactions – whether in returning a vehicle or exchanging paperwork – will follow CDC Guidelines and NYS requirements related to workplace health and social distancing.
  6. Brown’s will still be conducting transactions remotely and electronically to meet the needs of our consumers who, at this critical time, require new or pre-owned vehicle, or who must return a vehicle where the lease has ended.

Shopping Online

The health and safety of our customers and our employees has always been a top priority here at Brown’s Automotive. We are now offering an easy and safe way to purchase your next new or used vehicle from the conform of your home. As our physical showrooms are closed, all transactions with our sales team will be done remotely online and over the phone. Brown’s sales team is here to help you get the vehicle you want at the price you need. If you have a trade-in, you will fill out our trade-in form online. Your credit application will also be filled out on a secure website. The entire sales process is done from the comfort of your home. Simply choose your vehicle, click “Start My Purchase”, and let us take care of the rest.

Slow the Spread

  • We are taking temperatures of all employees upon arrival to work. This is to ensure every employee is fit to work.
  • We are accepting payments over the phone to increase social distancing.
  • We have installed 10 hand-sanitizing stations throughout the dealership to allow visitors and personal to clean their hands more frequently.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning high-volume, high touch areas.
  • Our staff is required to engage in good hygiene by frequently washing their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • All employees are practicing social distancing (6ft apart from each other).
  • All employees are wearing gloves and masks to prevent spreading anything to the customer.
  • Each customer is given a new pen to use while signing paperwork. This pen is only for the customer and can be taken with them. A new pen for every customer will cut down on the spread of germs.
  • We are in touch with numerous agencies and local trade associations, Chamber of Commerce, plus the health department at the city, state and federal levels to make sure we receive the latest updates and protocols.
  • We have distributed critical information to key staff members and business partners to help prevent communicable sicknesses throughout dealership.

Specifically In Our Service Department

  • We are placing steering wheel covers, seat covers and floor mats in each vehicle that comes in for service.
  • We will only be opening the service window a quarter of the way when customers are paying. This is to protect our customers and employees.
  • All loaner vehicles are disinfected after each customer; steering wheel, door handles, shifter knobs, etc.
  • Sneeze guards are at the service advisor desk.
  • A 2 customer limit in our service counter area.
  • A 4 customer limit in our service waiting area.

Specifically In Our Sales Department

  • The detailer cleans the vehicle inside and out with gloves on. He puts on seat protectors to drive down to main showroom. Detailer takes the seat cover off, wipes down the steering wheel and puts a cover on. Detailer gives keys to sales manager who wipes down the keys.
  • Customer arrives for delivery and the manager explains our social distancing procedure.
  • Manager removes steering wheel cover in from to f the customer and then goes over the vehicle with the customer. Manager does not get in the vehicle with the customer.
  • Manager goes over the equipment and how to pair phone while standing outside the vehicle.
  • The table and chairs are wiped down when the customer comes in to sign paperwork.
  • The paperwork will be put on the customer side of the table with a new pen and manager will sit on the other side of the 6ft table.
